The two houses are conveniently located in Southwest Harbor and only a short stroll to the Seawall entrance to the park. The shoreline is surrounded by spectacular scenery and the rugged Maine coast, full of endless entertainment for children and refreshing solitude for adults. Come downeast and explore the Acadia region. Four-legged friends are welcome.

If peace and quiet in your own home are what you desire, Cranberry Cottages are the perfect retreats to bring the family and escape it all. Nestled by the shore of Western Way, Cranberry View and the Treehouse offer the visitor plenty of privacy and right of way to the shore, surrounded by spectacular scenery. There is easy access to every activity Acadia has to offer, even free public transportation, in season, right from the end of the driveway. The Causeway Cottage overlooks the Causeway Golf Club, Mansell Mountain, and Norwood Cove.This home comes with an invitation to play golf and to explore the many miles of park trails originating from Fernald Point.Though each home offers something different, the three cottages share the easy convenience to the park, shopping, free public transportation in season, and all the other activities here on MDI. Cranberry View and the Treehouse sit next door to each other, about two hundred yards from the coastline. They both have a delightful character with a large yard and gardens surrounding. Wander down the enchanting shore path to the waters edge, or enjoy nature from the decks, listening to the endless chatter among the birds. A great place for kids and pets. Renting the Treehouse along with Cranberry View is perfect for the larger family.

The Treehouse is a one bedroom, second story apartment which shares the same yard as Cranberry View. The unique deck has some views of the ocean and mountains. The deck has a BBQ grill and outdoor furniture, with a spiral staircase down to the yard below. The master bedroom has a queen bed. There is a full bath with shower, and small, fully equipped kitchen with stove/oven, coffee maker, and toaster oven. The bright sitting room has a wood stove and cable TV. It's perfect for a couple or rented along with Cranberry View. All linens are provided.

Causeway Cottage is perfect for the vacationer who likes a round of golf in the morning. The cottage looks over the golf course and out to the western side of Mount Desert Island and Mansell Mountain. During the afternoons, stroll down Fernald Point and pick one of the many hikes you can enjoy right from the cottage's front door step. All of the facilities are on one level making this cottage perfect for the traveler who wants to avoid stairs. It is also very spacious. This cottage does not allow pets.
